Intern Therapist.
RN, BN, MN. MACP (Candidate)
Ann is a counselling intern with a Registered Nursing background and over 20 years of experience working in emergency, trauma, and neonatal intensive care settings. Her years on the frontline of healthcare have shaped a deep understanding of how trauma, medical stress, and life-altering events affect individuals and families both emotionally and physically.
Ann has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, health-related anxiety, caregiver burnout, grief, disability, and complex medical or life transitions, as well as families adjusting to sudden or ongoing health challenges.
Ann brings a grounded, steady, and compassionate presence into the therapeutic space. Her approach is humanistic and integrative, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety, stabilization, and building trust. She is particularly attentive to the nervous system, stress responses, and the emotional toll of prolonged caregiving or chronic stress.
Ann values working collaboratively with clients to help them make sense of their experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with a sense of resilience and agency during difficult periods of life. Drawing from both her healthcare and counselling experience, she offers thoughtful, supportive care to individuals and families seeking steadiness, understanding, and healing in the midst of complex circumstances.
