Being a parent is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, roles in life. Parenting, relationships, and life’s transitions can feel overwhelming. Some days, it feels like you’re holding everything together; on others, the weight of your child’s struggles, relationship stress, and personal responsibilities can feel like too much.
As a therapist and a single mother of three, I understand these challenges firsthand, because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to want the best for your children, your relationships, and yourself while juggling exhaustion, self-doubt, and endless demands. You want to be patient and present, but when stress builds up, even the simplest moments can feel heavy. The truth is, you don’t have to go through this alone.
With over 15 years in healthcare, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, parents, couples, and families. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating play therapy, EMDR, art-based modalities, and creative interventions to help children express emotions, build coping skills, and develop resilience. Beyond my work with children, I support parents navigating the complexities of raising a family, help couples rebuild trust and strengthen their connection, and guide families through conflict, trauma, and major life transitions.
So, who am I?
I’m a deeply intuitive and compassionate therapist who has learned as much about resilience from raising my three kids as from any training or textbook. My professional journey includes a background in nursing, decades in healthcare, and training as a Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and Play Therapist-in-training. But beyond credentials, I see myself as a lifelong learner... always seeking new ways to understand trauma, play, and human connection so I can better support the people I work with.
Motherhood has shaped me as much as my education. My children have been my greatest teachers, reminding me daily about patience, presence, and the beauty of small, imperfect moments. I believe healing isn’t about “fixing” people; it’s about creating spaces where you feel safe, seen, and supported enough to reconnect with your own strength and story.
At Batool Psychotherapy & Wellness, we offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to make therapy accessible for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Wherever you are on your journey, you don’t have to walk it alone.
Let’s take the next step together. Reach out today to begin your path toward healing, connection, and lasting change!
